Field Report: 2024 Downtown Super Sunday Black Masking Indian Party
In the world of Black Masking Indians there are only five events held each year to celebrate the culture. Downtown Super Sunday is the fourth of five. Held annually in the Mid-City neighborhood of New Orleans, the parade begins on the banks of Bayou St. John and meanders south towards the Mississippi River before finishing up in the Esplanade Ridge neighborhood.
